A hundred years of pure imagination will be celebrated next year in commemoration of the centenary of Roald Dahl’s birth.
The 13 September 2016 marks a hundred years since the writer’s birth, and Cardiff is already preparing to celebrate the national treasure.
The Norwegian Church on Cardiff Bay where Dahl worshipped as a child, is working with the Welsh Government and Literature Wales to raise awareness of Dahl’s achievements.
Tony Caley-Burnell, conference and events co-ordinator for Cardiff Council said: “We celebrate Roald Dahl Day every year on the Sunday closest to Roald Dahl’s birthday.”
Next year will be extra special, with a free family fun day being held at the Church to encourage the public to believe in magic for a hundred more years.
