The historic tram depot will officially open as a music venue this upcoming Saturday after several months of redevelopment.
UB40 will take the honour of opening the venue after Lucy Rose’s performance was moved to The Globe.
The Tramshed redevelopment is part of a project to rejuvenate the Grangetown area, and could bring up to 300 jobs.
Local Grangetown councillor Ashley Govier said on the Grangetown community website, “It’s going to be fantastic – this is being provided without any public money, apart from some small funding for the heritage of the building.”
The Tramshed will not be used solely as a music venue, as its set to include a cinema, tech-hub, dance studio space, gallery and café-bar, which will all open at later dates.
