A Cardiff local has set out on a venture to reignite the Cardiff Music Awards.
Ed Townend, previous production manager at Oxjam Cardiff takeover, has been involved in music since 2007 and hopes that the awards will recognise the achievements of local musicians.
The aim of the Cardiff Music Awards is to celebrate the music scene and give credit to its musicians, organisations and other individuals whose achievements may go unnoticed.
Ed Townend said, “I hope to highlight the great talent and breadth of the local Cardiff music scene with the awards and honour the hard work of those within it.”
He added, “The idea of doing it every year would be based on the success of the process and the public opinion in relation to the results.”
