WWE smacks down in Cardiff

The future stars of the WWE are ready to powerslam Cardiff as part of the NXT’s first UK tour.

Founded in 2012 as the WWE’s development branch, the NXT trains up-and-coming wrestlers before they progress to WWE’s main ring.

The branch has rapidly grown in popularity since its formation and is praised for its high quality of wrestling and the opportunities it affords women wrestlers, despite being a training institution.

The NXT’s Welsh debut takes place on 15 December at the Motorpoint Arena, with wrestlers Finn Balor (see video below), Dana Brooke and Tyler Breeze taking to the ring.

Cardiff’s very own professional wrestler, Nadia Ageli, thinks this is a great opportunity for Welsh wrestling fanatics.

“It’s awesome that the WWE are bringing NXT to Cardiff,” she said. “Welsh fans will get to see an alternative roster with fresh faces, stand-out characters and five star matches.”

Tickets are available online.
