Harry Holland, the Welsh leading artist will showcase his latest works at the Martin Tinnery Gallery in Cardiff from 30 November – 24 December as part of their Christmas exhibition.
Running alongside the Christmas exhibition will be a collection of works by the renowned artist, Harry Holland. Among the collection of new oil paintings will be a series of fifteen limited edition iPad drawings, making him only the second artist to showcase drawings of this type at the gallery.
The Martin Tinnery Gallery established in 1992 is Wales’ leading private commercial art gallery who specialise in presenting Welsh and Wales based artists. The gallery has represented Harry for the past 25 years and this latest exhibition will be his tenth solo exhibition exclusive to them, according to Cerys Billienge the gallery’s assistant. She added, “We are delighted to have had such a long symbiotic relationship with Harry and look forward very much to exhibiting his most recent work.”
Born in Glasgow, Harry moved to Wales in 1973 and today he’s regarded as Britain’s finest figurative painters, having exhibited his work all over the world and becoming Wales’ most internationally renowned and successful artists. Honing his skills at St Martin’s School of Art, London he has found great success across the Atlantic and all over Europe. He has showcased his work in private and public collections worldwide including the Tate Gallery and the National Museum of Wales.
There are many galleries in Cardiff who champion the work of Welsh artists, including the Albany Gallery who represent over 100 Welsh artists. Elizabeth Campbell, administration manager from the Albany Gallery said: “Our clients like to be able to identify with the landscapes that feature in our exhibitions from the rugged mountains of North Wales to the beaches of Gower and Pembrokeshire.”
