Maven Capital Partners announces that the new Hotel Indigo has finally opened its doors in the centre of the city
In a new development, Maven Capital Partners has announced the opening of Hotel Indigo, Cardiff, after investing £17.5 million into the new project.
Located on Queen Street, the new 112-bed hotel is located on one of the main shopping streets in the city. The hotel is also close to the Principality Stadium and Cardiff Castle. Maven investors have funded the transformation from a formerly office block into a boutique hotel.
Marketing manager at Maven Capital Partners, Steven Ford, explains that Cardiff is a great area. “There is a strong demand in both the corporate and leisure sectors (in Cardiff),” he said. It is also one of the top performing hotel locations in the UK.
The city is recognised as a key business destination. It is benefitting from the Welsh Government’s promise to increase Cardiff’s profile as an international business centre.
Steven says that the hotel “offers 122 guest bedrooms together with a Marco Pierre White Steakhouse and Grill.”
The hotel also includes a fitness suite, meeting rooms and private dining.
Maven Capital partners is a private equity house that focuses on the provision of growth capital across the UK. “It is one of the most active private equity fund managers in the country,” he says, “and manages over £415 million worth of assets.”
Maven has seven hotels currently in it’s portfolio, such as Hotel Indigo in Glasgow and a Travelodge in Llandudno.
Hotel Indigo Cardiff is managed by Redefine BDL hotels, which already works alongside Maven and a number of its’ other hotels.
Chief operation officer at Redefine BDL Hotels, John Stuart expressed his excitement about the new opening. He told BQ Live; “We’re thoroughly looking forward to guests experiencing this landmark development.”
Steven hopes that the hotel will bring back life to a previously vacant office building along with the refurbishment of the Dominion Arcade.
