As the Bluebirds prepared to face Sheffield Wednesday, we asked Cardiff fans where they think they will end up in the Championship table
With Neil Warnock’s men currently sitting in eleventh in the Championship table, we asked Cardiff City fans where they think they will place come the end of the 2019/20 Championship season.
Fresh off the back of relegation from the Premier League, Cardiff City would have been hoping for a strong start to this season, as they attempt to challenge for playoff places.
However, the strong start never came to be, and the Bluebirds find themselves sitting in mid-table after 12 games.
Questions are starting to be asked about the strength and depth of the squad that manager Warnock has at his disposal. Writing for Wales Online, Bluebirds correspondent Glen Williams says, “While some areas of the squad have flourished and are in a position of strength, others are becoming a glaring problem.”
In order to stand a chance of achieving promotion back to the top flight this season, Cardiff need to finish in the top six places. As we found out, not all in the stands for the Friday night Sheffield fixture were that optimistic.
Where do you think Cardiff City FC will finish this season?
Paul Smith, 42, Teacher, Maesteg

“I think that in terms of the players they have got, and that they have had to make changes, I don’t think they have quite enough to make the playoffs. I’m a glass-half-empty sort of person.”

Prediction: 5th
“We have the quality for the playoffs, but we need a new striker in January without a doubt.”
Janet Brown, 72, Retired, Penarth

Kyle Kennedy, 22, Mental Health Nurse, St Clears
