All hail ale in Mid Wales

The people of mid Wales are celebrating the best brewing talents from around the country.

One of Britain’s smallest towns, Llanwrtyd Wells, will be playing host to its annual Mid Wales Beer Festival this November.

Many pubs participate in this long established festival, including the Neuadd Arms Hotel, who say they will be celebrating for the 31st year in a row.

Entry into all pubs, including the Neuadd Arms Hotel, is free during the 10 day festival.

The festival will feature around 140 beers from all over Wales and is a true showcase of Welsh brewing talent.

A variety of live music performances are on offer during the weekends, with a quieter atmosphere during the week for those who like to concentrate on their ale.

Lindsay Ketteringham, owner of the Neuadd Arms said, “There’s an absolutely tremendous atmosphere and the whole town gets booked up, which is one of the main points of the festival. It really helps to boost the small town’s economy.”
