What does Cardiff mean to you? Jan Williams and Chris Teasdale of The Caravan Gallery take a jab at answering this question in their latest exhibit at The Abacus.
The Cardiff Pride of Place Project is a participatory exhibition that invites locals to showcase their city’s true character.
“This is a great opportunity for the people of Cardiff to show off their local knowledge and creativity,” say the duo.
The exhibit transforms The Abacus into an alternative visitor information centre with images by The Caravan Gallery and other memorabilia that is reminiscent of Cardiff. Encouraging visitors to share Cardiff-centric creations and experiences on The People’s Wall and The People’s Map, the exhibit (successfully) attempts to engage in dialogue about the city.
