Cardiff University is teaming up with eco-friendly charities, university societies and shops to promote the sustainable development agenda.
For the third-year running the week aims to create awareness of the impact we have on our planet.
A range of activities from eco-debates, to a bike ride around the city and even a 1000 voice choir performing Handel’s Mega Messiah will be inviting people to take part.
Size of Wales is a charity campaigning for the protection of the rainforest and is heavily involved in Sustainability Week.
Its director, Hannah Scarse said, “Carbon emissions for Wales are higher than the UK in general. We have a responsibility for getting our act together.”
Hannah believes young people in particular are very interested in the environment because they are going to have to live in the world as we leave it.
