Is all water clean and safe to swim in? Join us as we tackle the myth behind water safety
Deep Dive, presented by Plunge magazine, is your podcast for all things cold-water therapy. We will be busting cold water myths, speaking to experts and answering your questions.
This episode of Deep Dive explores the myth surrounding water safety. With open water swimming on the rise, we ask if all water is clean and safe to swim in? To help us tackle this myth, we are joined by ‘The Wild Woman of the Wye’, Angela Jones.
Angela is an environmentalist and river campaigner. She has dedicated the last six years of her life to raising awareness of river pollution and specifically the damage caused to her local and beloved River Wye, which runs between England and Wales.
She recently protested on the BBC’s Newsnight and, in 2021, she swam up the Wye with a coffin marked with the words ‘Death of the Wye’.
Join Plunge team members, Hannah and Hansa, as they chat to Angela on Deep Dive episode threee about how to test water, what warning signs to look out for and the importance of campaigning.
