Unwanted food makes great art

Creating art with unused food

This month, Milgi’s are combining food with art, as their art club and curry night brings the technique of potato printing to the table.

The event is held at the vegetarian restaurant on City Road and shows alternative ways of using uneaten potatoes to help the environment and to create a piece of art with old food.

Milgi’s ethos is to change the roots of their food. Supported by the Soil Association, they source all their food locally.

Josh Stride, press officer for the Soil Association, says, “There are lots of things that you can do as an individual or as part of a community, to help to reduce part of the environmental impact of your food and to support your local food economy.”
