Carbon emission talk hits Cardiff

Experts to talk about recent developments in lowering Wales’s carbon emissions

Over 16 and 17 November, Cardiff University’s Bute building will play host to The Low Carbon Research Institute annual conference.

Speakers will include John Griffiths AM, Minister for Environment and Sustainable Development and Eluned Morgan, Director of Low Carbon Business Development for SWALEC.

The Optic Technium in North Wales where a vast amount of research by the LCRI is conducted.

While the purpose of the conference is to showcase recent developments from the LCRI, attendance is free and open to the public, allowing them to speak with experts who can direct them toward becoming energy efficient.

 

The LCRI currently employs130 research staff from six welsh universities with the aim to develop low carbon technologies to benefit the country. Helen John, LCRI’s Industrial Liaison Officer explains, “LCRI is committed to developing, supporting and creating long term sustainable economy for Wales in the low carbon arena”.
