The embassy café in Cathays faces difficulties in gaining profit

The embassy café at Cathays Community Centre serves a variety of vegetarian food, drinks and cakes, all prepared using organic and fair trade ingredients. Even vegan and gluten-free food and cakes are available. On top of that, the food is sold at reasonable prices.
Now the café that has been open for around ten years is facing troubles. “We haven’t actually had confirmation yet that the café will be closed, but we are not making profit at the moment,” says Millie Birch, the café’s manager.
Despite a facebook page, website and twitter account offering instant updates, the café does not seem to be getting enough custom, a fact that Millie Birch says she is trying to counter by getting wider publicity.
