If you’ve ever fancied yourself a budding DJ, good news: Catapult Records is running an eight-week ‘DJ School’.

Catapult, which has been based in Cardiff’s Duke Arcade since 1992, has put together a training program that aims to teach students all the skills they need to be a DJ. Those enrolled on the course will learn technical skills such as DJing on both turntables and CDJs and digital DJing, as well as all-important self-promotional skills.

The classes are run by tutors Cally, of dance duo Cally and Juice, and DMC finalist Killer Tom, and take place every Thursday night at the Catapult store. The overall cost of the eight week is £160 – if this sounds a little steep, Catapult run taster sessions for a more palatable £25.
