‘The best food you’ve never cooked’ is the slogan of the newly revived CookShop in Pontcanna. This time around it’s applying its famous ethos to Christmas dinner.
The CookShop opened in 1982 and sold frozen meals to Cardiff. Gone for 18 years it’s now back with gorgeous gourmet ready meals and a December twist.
Founder and Chef, Julia Hallinan said, “The chilled food idea is to eat what you would cook at home but with the convenience of not having to actually cook it!”
This year the shop is offering Christmas lunch and Christmas trimmings in a bag, filled with brandy butter, pigs in blankets and turkey joints.
Hallinan said, “We are popular amongst our old locals and hopeful that we will have a reasonable amount of Christmas orders!”
