Local artists are coming together to host a charity art evening in support of children’s hospice, Ty Hafan.
Artists United – set up by photographer Maria Vasquez – are a group of emerging artists and musicians who want to use their artistic talents to help others.
They will hold an evening of art and music at the Marriot Hotel on 26 November, including exhibitions of paintings, sculpture and photography, and music from classical singers and electro-acoustic harpist, Ben Creighton Griffiths (playing in the video below).
All proceeds will go to Ty Hafan, but Maria Vasquez explains that the event not only aims to help charitable organisations, but to help emerging artists too.
“The main aim of Artists United is to benefit the community and help people,” she says. “But I also want to help artists as it’s hard for us to gain exposure. Artists United – we are uniting for community and art.”
Tickets are available online.
