The switching on of the lights, Christmas market, reindeer parade and Santa Claus rang the doorbell of the great Christmas in capital of Wales.
People in Cardiff and Wales tested the very first happiness of Christmas due to the opening of the Christmas market and switch-on of the lights on Thursday.
Cardiff city centre is filled with over 80 delicately decorated wooden stalls, brightening lights, chasing children, cheerful crowd and of course, Christmas Father.
“It’s just so good when seeing children happy, when cream, fries, hot chocolate lightened little kids’ faces and that’s the warmest moment for tonight and we like to see that,” said Heath Roberts, 47, the director of warsteiner bar.
When it comes to today’s business, Mr Roberts added: “Business’s been good and it’ll always be better. I mean, no rain, the night is nice and try. Weather helps a lot. ”
As an annual event in Cardiff, the Christmas market has been organized and successfully run for 20 years and this year it attracted thousands of people from Wales and even the world.
Michael Brown, 74, a retired design engineer who comes from Swansea, came here with his wife for the early celebration of Christmas.
“We’ll stay here for four weeks and I’ll definitely come here again next year,” he said, “everything here is fantastic!”
The fabulous event started with a festive parade outside Cardiff Library where Santa Claus appeared in the cheers of the crowd and sat on his sleigh pulled by a four-member reindeer team.

The parade procession set out from city library and went along the main pedestrian streets of city centre: St John Street, Working Street, the Hayes, Hills Street and Trinity Street.
Along the streets, various Christmas characters were surrounded by cheerful and excited children. Elves, bears and wrapped presents giving shows in the middle of streets made children burst into laughs and warmed the cold November night.
At the same time, the Cardiff Castle has put on its new dress as well. The silver neon lights were hung around the castle wall, which attracted loads of visitors to take pictures here. On the lawn outside the castle, a herd of reindeer was lit up by the bright light in the night.
The whole city has become a sea of cheer and happiness. Since Christmas market has already popped up, would Christmas be far?
