Fashion lovers in Cardiff got the free manicure and gifts this week when one of the world’s biggest retail brands hit the streets in a mobile salon this week.

Online sales brand SHEIN held their Christmas mobile salon on St David’s Street on their Christmas themed bus where clients could get their nails painted in the company of Father Christmas and his elves.

“This is the first time we’ve come to Cardiff. There are lots of students here, and to attract kind is younger in Shein, so track the kind of base we choose Cardiff,” said manicurist Sara.

This is a double -decker bus, the first floor is a lucky draw, participants can get some fashion trinkets, on the second floor can experience free perfect manicure.

Unlike other manicures, the design here is printed, and in order to welcome Christmas, they have also added Christmas elements to the pattern.

“It’s personalization that they can keep and walk away and post more than gifting,” said Sara.

SHEIN, a fast fashion brand from China, has rapidly expanded globally by leveraging data-driven marketing, offering affordable, trendy clothing, and maintaining an efficient supply chain.

While its market share in China is smaller, SHEIN has become a global leader in online fast fashion.

In the UK, it has capitalized on demand for budget-friendly fashion through digital marketing and influencer partnerships.

As UK consumers face higher borrowing costs, SHEIN’s affordable offerings are even more appealing. Interactive events like the mobile salon further boost its visibility and customer loyalty.

This highlights how SHEIN’s blend of fashion, fun, and engagement has quickly integrated the brand into the UK economy.
