Mother appeals for help finding daughter's lost toy

image4The mother of an 18-month-old girl who lost her favourite toy when she was out walking in Cosmeston, near Penarth, Cardiff last Friday has appealed for help in tracking it down.

Imogen Moss, known as Immi, was out walking with her mother Lauren Moss when they realised the rabbit was missing. Immi was given her pink fluffy rabbit when she was born and the pair have been inseparable ever since.

Immi christened her toy Rab and has taken it everywhere with her. Over the past few months the once pink fluffy rabbit has lost its colour, becoming grey and worn.

Lauren Moss was out running with her daughter in Cosmeston, when she heard Immi crying for her rabbit.

She said: “She had him one minute then she started shouting for him the next. We went back where we’d been but he was gone. I think it’s most likely that a dog picked him up and ran off with him.”

Immi was given the rabbit as a present from her great aunt, and is used during her bedtime routine.

“If Immi is sad or she has hurt herself she asks for Rab and he makes her feel better.”

Mrs Moss has recently bought a replacement Rab for Immi, but her daughter seems unsatisfied with the new one. She said: “I had to buy another one identical that I had to get as she was so unhappy. She knows it’s not the ‘real’ Rab but is slowly accepting him.”

Mrs Moss turned to Twitter last Friday in the hope that someone would find Rab and return him to her daughter. If anyone sees Rab in Cosmeston please email Mrs Moss on Lauren.e.moss@sky.com.
