Award winning Cardiff restaurant hits national radio

AWARD-WINNING Cardiff restaurant The Clink was featured on BBC Radio Four’s food programme on Monday afternoon.
Presenter Sheila Dillon visited the restaurant, referred to as “the most popular food joint in the city”, run by inmates of Cardiff prison.
Owner Al Crisci was a winner at the BBC Food and Farming Awards for his work at High Down prison and has since won prestigous awards at The Clink. He chatted to Dillon about the success of the Adamsdown restaurant.
The Clink Restaurant on the site of HMP Cardiff which has recently been voted the top restaurant in the city by Tripadvisor. Inmates and ex-prisoners were interviewed about working in a restaurant and whether the model can stop prisoners re-offending.
