POLICE today renewed their call for information about Lorraine Rideout who went missing from Gabalfa almost a month ago.
Ms Rideout, 57, a mum of three and a grandmother, was last seen leaving her home at 7pm on Sunday, January 31.
She lived with husband Steven, 57, her daughters Christine, 33, and Sarah, 20, and Christine’s son, Caled, 14. Christine said she left her house to go and see a friend, but never arrived.
“We are very keen to see her and if anyone has any information, we ask them to please come forward,” said a South Wales Police spokesman.
About 60 family and friends formed a search party in the week after Ms Rideout’s disappearance.
Police used search dogs and divers with specialist sonar equipment last week in the River Taff near her home. Nothing was found, however, and police have no evidence to suggest she had gone into the water.
“If we get any more information and we deem it necessary we will use the relevant departments,” said a police spokesman.
“We will use any measures as and when we get the information in order to find her.”
The police have widened their search to areas neighbouring Gabalfa.
Anyone who has seen Ms Rideout or has any knowledge of her whereabouts should contact Cardiff Central Police Station on 029 2022 2111.
