Welsh coach hits back at France match criticism

WELSH kicking coach Neil Jenkins has hit back at criticism of Wales’ most recent Six Nations performance.
Although Wales defeated France 19-10 in Friday’s match at The Principality Stadium, the team have been criticised for not looking likely to score despite all of their forward dominance.
The criticism also comes despite Wales making it five matches unbeaten against France.
Wales have been criticised for playing a negative style of rugby throughout the tournament.
“I’m a bit lost by it all. I played against France on many occasions and if you managed to win one game it was a pretty good achievement,” said Jenkins.
“France are certainly improving under Guy Noves. They are a tough, physical side. They have some fantastic players and I think their captain is an incredible rugby player.”
The former world record points-scorer was also relishing the kicking battle to come between two of the northern hemisphere’s deadliest marksmen when Wales play England at Twickenham on March 12.
“If the chances are on offer, I am sure both Owen Farrell and Dan Biggar will take them,” he said.
