WORKERS at insurance giant Admiral are set to share in a bumper payout after a successful year for the Cardiff-based company.
The company, which employs 5,750 people at its offices in Cardiff, Swansea and Newport and over 8,000 worldwide, has given staff up to £3,600 worth of shares based on strong profit figures.
Admiral, which has more than four million customers, made a full-year profit of £377m in 2015, a 6% increase on the year before.
Sarah Williams, Communications Officer at Admiral, said: “In order to promote equality and reward, we give shares to all of our staff because we want everyone to feel like they own a part of the company and the best way to do that, is to give them part of the company to own.
“The shares that we give our staff are an important part of the benefits package that you receive when you work for Admiral. We believe that happy people make happy customers and happy customers help increase profits.
“We put a lot of effort and investment into making sure that the Admiral Group is a happy place to work, where challenge and career development are encouraged and fun is never frowned upon.”
The Sunday Times has listed Admiral for 16-years running as one of the “100 Best Companies to Work for” and currently they are ranked as the sixth “Best Large Company To Work for in the UK”.
