33 bottles of spirits stolen from popular city centre pub

POLICE are looking for two young men who are believed to have jumped over a bar and stolen 33 bottles of sprits from a popular city centre pub.

The thieves walked out of the Owain Glyndwr on St John’s Street with hundreds of pounds worth of stolen booze in the middle of the afternoon.
The pair are believed to have walked into the pub at 3.38pm on Thursday and made their way to the upstairs bar which was closed at the time. One kept watch while the other prised up the metal shutters covering the bar. He then jumped over and began scooping the bottles arranged along the rear wall into four Next carrier bags.
CCTV footage showed one man crouching down behind the bar as customers walked past. The whole event was over in under five minutes and staff called the police at 4.05pm when they realised the spirits had been taken.
Bar staff have shared on social media images of two men who may have witnessed the theft.
