A SPLOTT church is calling for volunteers to help keep homeless people off the streets this winter.
St Saviour’s Church and its partner St German’s in Adamsdown will be taking part in this year’s Cardiff Christian Night Shelter project, which runs from December to March at churches across the city.
The aim is that each evening in the week, at least one church or community centre in the city will open its doors to people sleeping rough, providing a safe bed, hot food and other services.
St German’s will be hosting visitors on Saturday nights, and helpers are needed to look after those spending the night and morning at the church. Full training will be provided.
Those interested in volunteering are invited to St German’s at 7pm on Monday, October 30th or St Saviour’s at 7pm on Tuesday, October 31 to find out more about the project and how to get involved.
