THE second weekend of November means one thing –Â Remembrance Sunday – the time of the year when we pay our respects to those who fought for, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Remembrance Sunday falls on November 12 but there are services and parades across Cardiff and the Vale across the week.
This list will be updated throughout the week.
Cardiff city centre
A service opening the Field of Remembrance at Cardiff Castle will take place tomorrow, November 8, starting at 11.00am.
On Remembrance Day, November 11, the two-minute silence will be held in all civic buildings. In City Hall, wreaths will be laid by council staff.
Cardiff also hosts the National Service of Remembrance for Wales at Cathays Park War Memorial. This will be held on Sunday at 10.30am.

The National Museum of Wales is providing a family element to Remembrance Sunday with poppy-making crafts and story-telling from actors in First World War battle garb.
Barry Island
