IT’S looking hopeful that new signing Gary Madine will face his former club tonight as the Bluebirds host Bolton.
Neil Warnock hopes that January Deadline Day signing Gary Madine will have recovered from a broken nose. The Bluebirds forward scored in the reverse fixture back in December to gift Bolton a 2-0 win.
Bolton travel to Cardiff having drawn to Championship promotion hopefuls Fulham at the weekend. A goal from striker Adam Le Fondre gave the Trotters a second-half equaliser extending their unbeaten run to three games.
Lee Peltier returned to the squad against Millwall and is another defensive option for Warnock.
Adam Le Fondre could return to the Bolton starting line-up after he came off the bench to score the equaliser against Fulham on Saturday.
Craig Noone (minor knee problem) remains a doubt for Bolton.

Neil Warnock’s side started strongly against Millwall on Friday. Bluebirds winger Hoilett caused problems early on and just three minutes in he was given time to run through the Millwall defence. Making no mistakes, he fired the ball past goalkeeper Jordan Archer from 20 yards to give Cardiff City the lead.
Millwall responded by applying pressure to the Bluebirds defence. Steve Morison got on the end of a Ben Marshall cross after 23 minutes only for it to hit the woodwork.
After 40 minutes, Gregory ran onto a Jed Wallace cross to power a shot beyond goalkeeper Neil Etheridge to equalise for the Lions.
Millwall almost took the lead before the break, but Bluebirds captain Sean Morrison cleared the ball off the line.
The second half provided the Bluebirds with a new lease of life as Gary Madine had his shot blocked while Marko Grujić’s rebound went wide.
The Bluebirds thought they had taken the lead in the 83rd minute only for referee Keith Stroud to pull the game back for a free kick, after initially playing the advantage.
The match finished 1-1 with both teams squandering chances to take away all three points.
