EMERGENCY services are geared up to respond to snow related incidents, while most routine operations have been cancelled.
Penarth Coastguard are on call to assist emergency partners.
South Wales Police said there had been no major accidents or damage to buildings due to the snow overnight.
Heath and Llandough hospitals:
- All routine surgery is postponed. Some urgent and cancer cases will go ahead. Being reviewed on a case by case basis. Patients will be contacted if their surgery is going ahead.
- Outpatient appointments will be postponed unless urgent. Should assume cancelled unless contacted.
Boulders UK is offering help with their 4x4s to get doctors and nurses into hospitals today. They are also offering free child sitting for the children of NHS doctors and nurses.
