A YELLOW weather warning has been issued as a second Beast from the East heads for Cardiff two weeks after 20cm of snow hit the capital.
Snow is forecast to fall on Saturday night and Sunday temperatures are expected to feel as cold as -7°C in the city thanks to another weather front coming in from Siberia.
The yellow warning for snow and ice will come into place at 00:05am on Sunday so those travelling into and out of the capital for Wales’ final Six Nations match against France are urged to take care.
There are no specific updates yet as to how train and bus services might be affected, but a Met Office spokesperson said “there’s a chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel”.
Forecasts say up to 2cm of snow could settle accompanied by hard frosts and strong winds.
Anyone commuting on Saturday night or on Sunday is advised to take extra care. Further information can be found here.
