ANTHONY Crolla will fight Edson Ramirez to complete the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s Heavyweight unification fight with Joseph Parker at Principality Stadium.
The Mancunian lightweight will look to get his career back on track after losing twice in six months against Venezuelan Jorge Linares.
His opponent has an 18-2-1 record, but has not lost since his third fight, six years ago. This will be his first fight outside of his native Mexico and his first in an arena.
Crolla said: “I need to get out there and get another win and then we can look for a big fight in the summer.
“It’s a great platform, there’s no bigger event to be on and I’m really excited to go to Cardiff. I’m always mixing at the top level so I want a test and Ramirez will be well up for it.”
There will be plenty of British talent on show at the Principality Stadium on March 31.
Joshua vs Parker will be the focus of the evening and the Watford fighter will look to move to 21 wins as he faces the big-hitting New Zealander.
David Price will headline the undercard as he fights Alexander Povetkin for both the WBA Inter-continental and WBO International Heavyweight belts.
Ryan Burnett will look to continue his unbeaten run against Venezuelan Yonfrez Parejo and Welshman Joe Cordina with take part in an all-British lightweight bout for the WBA international belt against Andy Townsend.
Josh Kelly will fight for the WBA international welterweight championship against Carlos Molina and exciting British prospect Joshua Buatsi will fight against an opponent yet to be confirmed.
Sean McGoldrick will also fight but still does not have an opponent and Morgan Jones will open the night against Mose Auimatagi Jnr.
