MOD accused of “cover up” about alien incident over Cardiff in 2016
A CLAIMED Cardiff UFO sighting and an alleged military cover-up is the subject of a book by a woman who says she witnessed the events.
On Friday 26 February 2016, Caz Clarke, 57, of Pentyrch, claims she saw something, quite literally, out of this world.
‘’It was enormous, majestic, no way you could be mistaken,’’ said Mrs Clarke, who works in security.
In the early hours, she was drawn to fields behind her house because of a huge pyramid of light taking up the night sky.
‘’The first red-light was high above the trees, thousands of feet up,’’ explained Mrs Clarke.
‘’As it neared the ground it ejected a hand of lightning, not thin lightning, but thick like fingers, fire coloured fingers. I wish I had pictures and videos, but phones did not work.”
According to Mrs Clarke, she was “scanned” by the UFO in the sky before a red object went in one direction and a green object went in the other. At that point, a fleet of RAF helicopters arrived.
Mrs Clarke said: ‘’We believe the military aircraft shot them down.
‘’The next morning, I saw a WalesOnline article saying this was part of a military drill. This was no drill, that was the exercise the week before.’’
This is in reference to Exercise Chameleon which took place in the area around the time of Mrs Clarke’s alleged sighting.
Soon after the events took place, Mrs Clarke contacted the Ministry of Defence.
‘’When I contacted the MOD, they just told me this was under Section 26 – not in the public interest,’’ she said.
Following the incident, Mrs Clarke has spent the last five years searching for answers. She says other witnesses have also come forward from Betwys and Port Talbot who reported seeing barrel shapes in the sky that night.
‘’If we are facing a threat, we should know about it,’’ said Mrs Clarke. ’Why did they lie? They did not say they did not lie about what the military was doing that night.’’
Freedom of Information (FOI) requests submitted by Caz Clarke after the event appear in the book she’s written with Gari Jones called The Pentyrch Incident.
Mr Jones, 39, from Merthyr, was drawn to this case in October 2017 after measuring electromagnetic field levels at the site and has helped Mrs Clarke to investigate.
He said: ‘’The safe range of EMF is about 0.2 to 0.4 but after that night they have been as high as 1.2, over three times the safety strength even up until the fifth-year anniversary.’’
High radiation levels are among many unanswered questions for Mrs Clarke. ‘’This was no military exercise, they are the Men in Black,’’ she added.
