Five of Cardiff’s most extravagant properties on the market

For £17k a month or £3m upfront you could buy one of these luxury homes

FROM mansions to penthouses, the average price of homes on this list is £1,900,000. 

Last year the average price of properties sold in Cardiff was £291,255, according to Rightmove.

The average monthly mortgage payment was £1,653 over a 25 years, assuming an annual interest rate of 5.77%, and that the owner has paid a 10% deposit.

To show the extreme price difference, Rightmove’s mortgage calculator was used to provide an estimated monthly mortgage cost for all these properties.

From the most expensive, here is the list:

1. £3,000,000 – Graig Road, Lisvane

Estimated monthly mortgage: £17,019 

The average price of properties sold in Lisvane last year was £339,950.

This seven-bedroom and six-bathroom property offers views overlooking the Bristol Channel and includes a detached two-bedroom bungalow situated on its 7.5 acres of land. In true extravagant style, this house comes with its own indoor swimming pool and personal gym. 

2. £2,250,000 – Sully, Penarth

Estimated monthly mortgage: £12,764

The average price of properities sold in Sully last year was £311,596.

This beachfront home in a modern style offers open-plan living space and extravagant windows providing a wide view of the Bristol channel. The property has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a detached summer house, perfect for guests. 

3. £1,899,950 – Nant Fawr Court, Cyncoed

This super modern luxury property is one of four homes in Nant Fawr Court, an exclusive gated community in Cyncoed. It has an open-plan living space, five bedrooms, six bathrooms and its own indoor swimming pool.
