Cardiff woman in court after babies’ bodies found in house

A man and woman have been released on bail following the discovery of two infant bodies in Bridgend

A CARDIFF woman has appeared in court charged with concealing the birth of two children.

Egle Zilinskaite, 30, of Crwys Road, Cathays, is accused of two counts of concealing the birth of a child and two counts of preventing the lawful and decent burial of a dead body.

She was one of two people who appeared in court facing the same charge. Also appearing was Zilvinas Ledovskis, 48, of Neath Road, Swansea, who is also accused of two counts of concealing the birth of a child and two counts of preventing the lawful and decent burial of a dead body.

When they appeared in court on Tuesday, February 20, they were granted bail until their next appearance at Cardiff Crown Court on March 19, 2024.

The charges relate to the discovery of the bodies of two infants at a property in the Wildmill area of Bridgend in November 2022.

Zilinskaite and Ledovskis have been released on conditional bail until their next court appearance.
