Hundreds gathered in the city centre to welcome the spring
HOLI celebrations returned to Cardiff Castle last Sunday (16 March) in a packed-out event.
Hindu worshippers gathered in the grounds of the castle to take part in the festivities which mark the end of winter.
The event was organised by Grangetown’s Shree Swaminarayan temple, the oldest Hindu temple in Wales, and more than 800 people turned up ready to unleash powdered paint on each other.
People of all different faiths and backgrounds were welcome to join in and celebrate the victory of good over evil.
The money raised on the day funds the temple’s community work within Cardiff.
