Chris Coleman’s Wales team may have missed out on a summer trip to Brazil but Welsh football fans will still have the chance to get close to the World Cup in Cardiff.
The cup is currently touring the world ahead of the tournament in Brazil this summer, and will be at the Hayes in Cardiff city centre on Sunday, March 16, between 10.30am and 6.30pm. Fans can reserve free tickets to see the cup via this link.
As well as being able to pose for a photograph with the trophy, fans can join in with various footballing activities, including having a go at a penalty kick challenge and taking part in a freestyle masterclass, where two football freestylers will be showing off their skills and teaching tricks.
Wales have only made one appearance at the World Cup Finals, back in 1958. Superstars John Charles and Ivor Allchurch helped them to the quarter-finals where they were knocked out by Brazil. The only goal of the match was scored by a relatively unknown 17-year-old going by the name of Pelé.
