Three mobile networks, EE, O2, Three and Vodafone have now made a deal to improve coverage for consumers across the UK.
The Government has secured legal requirements from the four mobile networks to cover 90 per cent of the UK by 2017.
This means that for the first time, Ofcom will be able to enforce consistent strength from each of these mobile phone networks across Wales. Under the agreement, all four of these mobile phone networks have collectively agreed to a £5bn investment programme to improve mobile infrastructure by 2017.
This has huge benefits for consumers, who have complained over poor coverage in Wales:

Every cloud…
Wales office minister Alun Cairns said “It is crucial that Wales and the rest of the UK have world-class mobile phone coverage. Wales has put up with poor mobile coverage for far too long – I welcome the news that the UK’s mobile phone operators are working together to get rid of these ‘not-spots’.
Company heads have pledged that full coverage from all four mobile operators will increase from 69 per cent 85 per cent of geographic areas of the UK by 2017.
Many users have taken to social media to air their grievances about poor mobile phone signal in Wales.
