The Institute of Welsh Affairs are hosting an online discussion today on whether Wales should ditch the controversial bedroom tax.
The IWA is an independent think tank based in Cardiff who are attempting to look at ways to make the welfare system fairer in Wales. They will be hosting a discussion on their website from 4pm today.
One fifth of people in Welsh social housing have had their benefits reduced since the introduction of the under-occupancy penalty, which has been dubbed the bedroom tax. The Scottish government will be given additional powers over their welfare state which will let them change housing benefit policy from London and the IWA are asking if Wales should have the same.
