Labour have announced a new recycling centre will be opened in Llanishen's former tax office site on March 5.
AROUND 4000 homes in Llandaff, Radyr, Pentwyn and Trowbridge are part of the recycling trial which started this week.
The city's recycling has declined 3% since 2018. A new waste strategy to get 70% of waste recycled by 2025 will be presented to the council on December 16.
A 12% increase comes as waste collection tops the list of complaints, with the impact on residents with disabilities highlighted.
