Walking into the bookstore, you will find a variety of book categories in this small room. No matter you are keen on suspense, literature, history, comics, or magazines, you can always find a book that fits your taste.
Colin thinks running a bookstore is not only about business. This small shop has become an essential part of his life, where he has become friends with many customers. “I have been here since 1993. I hope people who come here can feel relaxed”, said Collin. It might be the original intention of naming this bookstore as “Bay Island”.
The unexpected pandemic in 2020 has brought difficulties to each aspect of people’s life. During the previous lockdown, although Cardiff Market has provided store owners with some compensation, the Internet trading of the bookstore was still limited because many books were locked in the physical store and weren’t available online. “It was indeed a blow. Eventually, that have all passed” said Colin, with a smile on his face.
Currently, Colin has not set up his online shop, but he provided his contact method. Feel free to email him if you need any books. Meanwhile, he also runs bookselling on the eBay platform, so you can also place an order via eBay.
