Would you changing cloths with opposite sex people in next cubicles? A debate has rolled to the public due to the Topshop’s new gender neutral changing room policy.
Topshop has abolished all women-only changing rooms to gender neutral cubicles under growing pressure from customers.
Few days ago, a trans customer was refused to use women changing room in Topshop and post this experience on twitter.
Travis Alabanza, the performance artist, claims they were asked to use a male changing room.
After that, a Topshop spokesperson confirmed: “All Topshop and Topman customers are free to use any of the fitting rooms located within our stores.”
However the policy has sparked different voices about that.

I don’t really have a problem with that, because changing rooms are individual. Also, I think anyone should be able to choose where they go to change. I think that is a good idea. Since you don’t suppose to see anyone else, so it doesn’t any matter who’s on the outside.

I feel unhappy about this. Although these trans people may think they are women. But I think it should keep separated. Because this could be safety problems. When women are in the changing rooms you don’t know these men next door. Maybe they have different purpose and they might attack or harass them. I think this is wrong.

I think that it is something we need to accept but it will take time for people to feel happy about this. For me, this could be a little bit strange especially for young child. I don’t think I will be very happy with that. However, I have seen there are transgender toilets or something like that. So it is just the way we change but there are still lots of consideration we should make.

I think that it is great because you don’t have to go upstairs or to find specific changing rooms. Even these transgender people, I think that it is convenient for everyone.

It’s a good thing and it’s save the space in the shops. To change cloths with opposite sex people would not border me. But that should be lockers on the doors.

I’m not very comfortable with that, because if I’m changing my clothes inside there is no lock in the changing rooms. So maybe I will a little bit not safe because there might be other guys. I’m afraid that one guy will accidentally open the curtain when I’m changing.

I feel uncomfortable if I need to use the changing room without gender differentiation. But here has good policy about exchange and refund, so I would rather buy it and try it at home and if I don’t like it I will take it back. But I feel uncomfortable to use changing rooms where are not private especially without gender differentiation.
