LLANDAFF mansion, Insole Court will be hosting its first open day this weekend to welcome the people of Cardiff into its recently renovated buildings and grounds.
Attractions include live music, a craft market and children’s archery. Indian street food will be available to enjoy as well as teas, toasties and treats from the Potting Shed Cafe, which opened at Insole Court in September.

There will be an opportunity to look around the renovated rooms, which will be available for public events and classes, and walk through the mansion’s beautiful gardens.
Renovation of the mansion is set to continue until its official opening early next year, when it is looking to become one of Cardiff’s best heritage sites and attractions.
Marketing and events coordinator, Graham Hill said the project has been about “cultural, heritage and community activity”.
“Saturday is an opportunity to really see it come to life,” he added.
The site, described as being a place “saved by the community for the community” is run by the Insole Court Trust and relies heavily on volunteers.
