Over 250 tons of used clothing redistributed thanks to Welsh organisation

The business is soon to open a new warehouse in Cardiff

WELSH clothing organisation Collect My Clothes Wales began operating in January 2021, and has since redistributed 250 tons of clothing across the world while raising funds for charity.

Manager Josh Golding told The Cardiffian that the organisation combines tackling the climate crisis while raising money for charities and supporting communities in Eastern Europe.

“At Collect My Clothes Wales, we aim to divert as many textiles away from landfills as possible, positively impacting the environment and providing a sustainable clothing market for our exporting partners in mostly Eastern European countries,” he said,

The business, which is currently based in Newport, is set to move into a new warehouse in Cardiff soon.
