How to get the perfect trail mix

Having a fibrous mix means you will stay fuller for longer, releasing enough energy to keep you going. Each ingredient in this mix will give you the nutrients you need. The perfect on the go snack.

Ingredients: 2 servings

25g almonds

3.5g fibre, 6g protein 

25g cashews

5g protein 

50g chopped dried apricots 

3.7g fibre, 2g protein 

100g edamame soya beans

6g fibre, 14.4g protein 

1 tsp sesame oil

Salt, pepper, chilli flakes to taste

Instructions: 

  1. Heat a pan and pour in a teaspoon of sesame oil, add the edamame soya beans on a medium heat for 5 minutes. Add salt, pepper, and chilli flakes to taste. 
  2. Add the beans to the nuts and dried apricots in an airtight container, shake, and it’s ready. 
  3. Munch away!
