The unique Welsh-language bookstore Caban is in its adulthood and waiting for more explorers.
Caban, a predominantly Welsh-language bookshop founded by a mother of two boys who have autism in Portcanna area of Cardiff in 2002, is 18 years old now. Its name “Caban” is a Welsh word of “cabin”, which is a perfect description of the shop’s atmosphere- a warm and fragrant home in the wood.

Sometimes they just come in for a conversation, or to share an interesting story. Compare to the gift shops next to Cardiff Castle that show scarfs and sheep dolls printed with “made in China”, Caban is more like a quiet vicar, guarding the culture and impression of Wales.
