Cardiff’s Riverside will receive £49,000 for the new two-year long project “Greening Riverside”, the local community centre has said.
South Riverside Community Development Centre managed to secure the funding for the project. Its lead director, Neil Binnell, was not available for comment. The donor of the project is kept secret and will be revealed in the near future.
“I like that Riverside will become even greener” – local resident
“We have several green places here. But I like that Riverside will become even greener,” a local resident who was relaxing at Riverside’s Despenser Gardens said.
The project will run for two years and employ a part-time worker who will support the Riverside community in making the inner-city part of Cardiff a greener place. The funding could also be used to grow more plants, the community centre said.
